St. Michael Eppan Winery

The Eppan winery is located on the outskirts of Bolzano, in a small town in the heart of the most important wine-producing area of the region.

It was founded in 1907 and today it has 340 winegrowing families who have shared and handed down the values and principles at the basis of their work, a work made of tradition and quality. Thanks to the union and love for the land and the environment, the St Michael - Eppan Cellar continues to produce unique wines. In particular, four lines are produced: Appius, Sanct Valentin, Selezione and Classica. The wine is aged in steel, wooden barrels and barriques - tonneaux. Respect for the grape is the cardinal principle that guides the winemaking process: tradition is combined with technological innovations, the particularities of the individual grapes are preserved and enhanced, offering an absolutely unforgettable product.

Paul BaraChampagne

The first records of the Bara family date back to 1600, in the villages of Bisseuil, Oiry and Chouilly, near Epernay. In 1833 Auguste François Bara, a robust and spirited young man, arrived in Bouzy to start working as a cooper. Three years later, in 1836, he married Annonciade Robert, who already owned some vineyards. pioneer of the marketing of the eponymous brand, Paul Bara, father of Chantale, was the first of the dynasty to sell Champagne under his name in the 1950s. A man of character and deep convictions, he used to repeat, recalls Chantale: "you have to keep the fields in order to eat". He has also written a very interesting book that traces the life of Bouzy, his "beloved" village, his men, their wines and their cultures. In 1975, Maison Bara was one of the first to cross the Atlantic to export its wines to the United States. Even today the Maison exports to the United States and always with the same importer. A wine that thrives on tradition!

Robert Voerzio

Roberto Voerzio and his Barolo from the Municipality of La Morra. The idea of dedicating a Barolo to the Municipality of La Morra had remained in his head for years. Over the decades he has progressively acquired plots on the slopes of the Langhe hills and cultivated them with strict respect for nature which defines his concept of winemaking. Its 25 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the municipality of La Morra, include sites long known for the excellence of Barolo, such as Brunate, Cerequio, Rocche dell'Annunziata and Sarmassa di Barolo, plus some lesser known plots, such as La Serra, Fossati and Case Nere, which Roberto has personally raised to levels that on the other side of the Alps would be recognized in the best Cru categories. In addition to Barolo, the company produces Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo, all from single vineyards. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of the nature and nuances of the various terroirs, Roberto set out to bring it all together in a Barolo that conveys the spirit and soul of La Morra. There are many wines to taste when the word "Barolo" is mentioned, but in this case one cannot escape the call of the name "Voerzio", a real milestone of the territory.
