In Tuscany among the excellences!

In Toscana tra le eccellenze!

The Antinoris and Brunello Pian delle Vigne:

The Pian Delle Vigne estate is located 6 kilometers (3.5 miles) southwest of Montalcino. Its name derives from the homonymous area where a characteristic nineteenth-century railway station is located. The property consists of 184 hectares, of which 65 are planted with vineyards with a generally south-western exposure at an altitude of 130m. above sea level. The homonymous wine of the estate, Pian delle Vigne, represents Marchesi Antinori's deeply personal interpretation of a prestigious and traditional wine such as Brunello di Montalcino. The Antinori family acquired the estate in 1995, the year of the harvest of the first Brunello Pian delle Vigne. The Brunello Pian delle Vigne is now a great and flawless! It carries out the malolactic fermentation and the subsequent refinement which takes place for over two years in large oak barrels, at the end of which we find a velvety, elegant and enveloping red wine in the glass, with soft tannins. The nose is intense and rich, with decisive notes of morello cherry, ripe plums and cherries that blend harmoniously with hints of dried fruit, candied fruit and spices. On the palate, alongside the ripe fruit, notes of dark chocolate and tobacco emerge. An extraordinary wine!

The San Guido Estate, the Defenses and Guidoalberto :

The estate was founded around the early 1900s by the Marquis Incisa della Rocchetta who immediately had the desire and dream of producing and making the wines of the Maremma area and therefore of Bolgheri known to the world. The company that takes its name from San Guido della Gherardesca became famous in the early 1940s, when the decision was made to plant and produce wines that came from Bordeaux blend vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. The success of this production range was extraordinary and today they are known throughout the world for their great wines and above all for the historic and renowned Sassicaia. They are ruby red wines with hints of wild berries, coffee and bitter chocolate. In the mouth full-bodied and persistent!

It is the right season to open one of these bottles and reflect on the beauty of this area which had a troubled history in times of war and which rose from the ashes and sands deposited on the shores of the sea, to give today wines that excite and amaze for their extraordinary workmanship!

The Seven Bridges Estate:

Antonio Moretti is the owner of this award-winning winery for the great quality of its wines. The company has 330 hectares of which only 50 are vineyards. In the vineyards, located on the gentle slopes of the Chianti hills, favorably exposed at an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level, with soils with a heterogeneous but well-combined structure of clay, sand, limestone and the typical Chianti marl, vines are grown such as: Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines of this company vary in price and in their expression. These are wines that take the taster on a real journey to discover the various geological territories present in Tuscany. Each wine characterized by blends or purities of different vines, often manages to conquer a place in the heart of those who taste it. Today they are highly sought after and recognized in Italy and abroad. We could almost say that they are those wines that when you have friends over for dinner or a bottle to take for an aperitif based on cheeses and salami or you want to impress with a great wine, are right for you!

Remember to avoid gatherings but don't avoid wine!
