The first records of the Bara family date back to 1600, in the villages of Bisseuil, Oiry and Chouilly, near Epernay. In 1833 Auguste François Bara, a robust and spirited young man, arrived in Bouzy to start working as a cooper. Three years later, in 1836, he married Annonciade Robert, who already owned some vineyards.

Comtesse by Paul Bara expresses aromas of candied apple, almond and hay. A crisp and intense wine.
