Chartogne-Taillet is a Maison du Champagne under the leadership of Alexandre Chartogne. Chartogne-Taillet wines are some of the most sought-after champagnes in the world. Alexandre worked with Anslem Selosse, who he describes as "my wine father" subsequently returning home in 2006 to undertake his own production. The first wine he produced was the 2006 vintage of Les Barres, a very special parcel of non-grafted Meunier, planted in 1952. In 2007 Alexandre took control of the entire estate and has since received huge compliments for his great Champagnes. Seeing is believing.
