- Who we are
It was 1796 when Benedetto Elia, nicknamed "Paitin", bought the farmhouse located near Neive, in Piedmont. Years later Giuseppe expanded the vineyard area and bought the splendid underground cellars dedicated to the aging of wines. In 1898 the company began to strengthen its ties with foreign countries by offering its wine for export, while in 1893 the "Sorì Paitin" was bottled for the first time, considered to all intents and purposes one of the first Barbarescos in history.
Paitin Barbaresco Serra is pastel red with dark burgundy reflections. It has a medium body and a well integrated acidity that shields the powerful presence of alcohols that would soften the wine too much.
