Rémi Leroy, winemaker and agricultural engineer who graduated from Bordeaux in 2006, runs a family property of about 9 hectares located in Meurville, in the Côte des Bar (Aube). The clayey-limestone soils, formed in the upper Jurassic, are mostly hilly, "Kimméridgien" formations, typical of the Chablis area. The peculiarity of the Meurville cru, in addition to the small thickness of the superimposed layers of earth, is however also due to the presence on the plateau overlooking the town, of a land of the "Portlandien" type, with even poorer soils. In these difficult natural conditions, the vine finds itself having to fight for its growth. The result of all this is a remarkable typicality, which is reflected in the wines.

Remy Leroy's Extra Brut Champagne is delicate with notes of white thorn and daisy. In the mouth it is compact and flowing, a vertical wine with excellent acidity.
