The upheavals of the early 1900s, and in particular the First World War, which destroyed more than half of the Louis Roederer estate, prompted Léon Olry Roederer to rebuild his vineyard. He decides to buy grapes to ensure the continuity of the Maison in this period of crisis and, on the same occasion, creates a multi-millesimato wine that expresses a constant taste, whatever the year of the harvest: the current Brut Premier.
