Valtellina has been an area in full swing for several years. Many new small producers have started making their own wine with excellent results. One of these is Alfio Mozzi, founder of the Alfio Mozzi winery of the same name. Alfio, a blacksmith for 11 of his life, decided in 1998 to become a full-time wine entrepreneur, encouraged by coming from a family of winemakers.

It produces only 3 labels of Valtellina Superiore DOCG and only from Nebbiolo Chiavennasca grapes: Sassella Grisone , Sassella Grisone Riserva and Sforzato di Valtellina. Valtellina Superiore Sassella Grisone is a wine with fresh and crunchy red fruits, pleasant and intriguing which proves to be slim in structure and suitable for everyday dining.
