Valtellina has been a vibrant area for several years. Many new small producers have begun to make their own wine with excellent results. One of these is Alfio Mozzi, founder of the homonymous winery Alfio Mozzi . Alfio , a blacksmith for 11 of his life, decided in 1998 to become a full-time wine entrepreneur, encouraged by his origins in a family of winemakers.

Produce only 3 labels of Valtellina Superiore DOCG and only from Nebbiolo Chiavennasca grapes : Sassella Grisone , Sassella Grisone Riserva and Sforzato di Valtellina. Valtellina Superiore Sassella Grisone is a wine with fresh and crunchy red fruits, pleasant and intriguing that proves to be lean in structure and suitable for the everyday table.
