Quintodecimo and Campania
A bond born from the birth of a cellar managed by his father, Michele Moio, historic Campania wine producer, who in the 1950s relaunched Falerno, the famous wine loved by the ancient Romans. House and cellar were one and Michele included his son Luigi Moio in his magical world as if it were a game. Luigi began his studies with a great passion for oenology and thanks to his studies and passion for scientific research he obtained a Masters in Agricultural Sciences and subsequently a PhD in Burgundy where, from 1990 to 1994, he studied the various aspects science of aromas in wine.
The landscape of Irpinia, the area where the Quintodecimo winery is located, is very original for an area of southern Italy. Here you won't find sunny plains, sunburned hills or torrid heat, but an infinite vegetation decorated by lakes, woods and mountains covered with chestnut, beech and oak trees. Quintodecimo is located in Mirabella Eclano in the heart of the Taurasi DOCG distribution area. Located about 80 km north-east of Naples on the crest of a small hill facing north-west with a slope of 25% at 460 meters above sea level. A cellar that is worth the trip and the visit! In this period of difficulty in travel, Enolora makes its collection available to transport you to Campania and let you taste these great wines, renowned for their precision and cleanliness of taste and aromas!
