Maison Delamotte is first and foremost a family story between a father, François Dalamotte and his two sons, Alexandre and Nicolas-Louis. François Delamotte, born in Reims in 1722, was “Conseiller-échevin” of Reims, captain of the bourgeois militia. Large vineyard owner in Cumières. he founded a Champagne wine house in his name in Reims in 1760, in the building located on the corner between rue Cérès and rue Marmousets, where his residence was located.
