Chartogne-Taillet is a Maison du Champagne under the leadership of Alexandre Chartogne. The wines of Chartogne-Taillet are some of the most sought-after champagnes in the world. Alexandre worked with Anslem Selosse, whom he describes as "my father of wine" later returning home in 2006 to undertake his production. The first wine he produced was the 2006 vintage of Les Barres, a very special parcel of ungrafted Meunier planted in 1952. In 2007 Alexandre took over the entire estate and has since received overwhelming compliments on his great Champagnes. Seeing is believing.
Champagne Sainte-Anne Brut is a straw yellow wine that smells of bread crust and honey. Slender in the mouth and long in the finish.
