The maison Georges Laval, Rècoltant-manipulant of Cumières, has since 1971 firmly pursued a philosophy of completely organic agriculture. The owned vineyards fall within the Premier Cru classification (2.5 hectares). About one hectare belongs to the "Les Hautes Chèvres" parcel, a vineyard dating back to 1930 and one of the oldest in the entire Cumières terroir.

The Garennes Extra Brut comes from the Pinots Meuniers harvested in 2015 from the Chambrecy terroir blended with the wines of the Cumières Reserve (harvested 2011, 2013 and 2014). Fermentation and barrel aging give substance and softness to this fruity champagne. A light dosage of 1g of sugar per liter is applied to perfect the balance of the 4400 bottles of Garennes Extra-brut, to create a fruity, complex and savory Demi-Sec.
