The first records of the Bara family date back to 1600, in the villages of Bisseuil, Oiry and Chouilly, near Epernay. In 1833 Auguste François Bara, a robust and spirited young man, arrived in Bouzy to start working as a cooper. Three years later, in 1836, he married Annonciade Robert, who already owned some vineyards.
Paul Bara's Special Club appears golden with hints of custard, mascarpone and candied lemon. In the mouth it is of great persistence and with a grouped and substantial bubble.
