In 1967 Sergio Manetti bought two hectares of land in Radda in Chianti and decided to produce wine. In 1971 he offered his wine on the tasting tables at Vinitaly. It was a huge success that pushed him to invest all of himself in this winemaking project. Thanks to the help of Giulio Gambelli and Bruno Bini he planted many more hectares and his project took hold, until it became one of the most renowned wineries in Tuscany today.

The 1997 Pergoole Torte is a wine with a lively character and a crisp expression of fruit on both the nose and palate. Excellent structure accompanied by a remarkable acidic backbone. Ready to drink but with great potential for aging.
