Italy and France united in wine

Italia e Francia unite nel vino

Sicily, Graci Winery:

We are on the north side of Etna in Passopisciaro, an area where viticulture has millenary origins! The vineyards are located at an altitude between 600 and 1,000 meters above sea level in Contrada Arcurìa, in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo, in Contrada Muganazzi, in Contrada Santo Spirito and in Contrada Barbabecchi. The planting density varies between 6,000 and 10,000 vines per hectare. Some of the vines are on their own roots, i.e. ungrafted. Graci grows only native grapes: Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Catarratto with great attention to sustainability. The cultivation of the vineyards is certified organic, with careful selections and the search for full maturity, limiting the yields in the vineyard to a minimum. The approach in the cellar is rigorous, in pursuit of precision and finesse. Vinification and aging take place in cement tanks, in vats and large barrels made with very long seasoned wood. All the work is aimed at promoting the personality of the vines, keeping the differences and nuances between one vintage and another intact, in the belief that only by satisfying and respecting the natural expression of a large territory can wines have the potential to really evoke emotion.

Jean Milan, Champagne:

With over 150 years of experience, handed down from generation to generation since 1864, the Milan family has a wealth of experience and tradition. Today the fifth generation, the son, Jean-Charles Milan, continues to treat the vineyard with respect for the family tradition and the surrounding environment. Hand picking is a priority to select the most beautiful fruit in any year. A company that pays great attention to the renowned lands of Oger, Champagne.

Let's find out together:

Cuvee Tendresse

“This 100% Chardonnay cuvée comes from the blend of two beautiful vintages from the 2015 and 2016 harvest and offers you all the virtues of Chardonnay completed with a subtle touch of sweetness. It is a very feminine cuvée composed by Liliane and Caroline Milan and is suitable for all those who love finesse and freshness underlined by an elegant sweet note brought about by the addition of a liqueur specially developed for this delicate Champagne. A Blanc de Blancs Champagne with citrus and honey aromas, to be enjoyed both as an aperitif and as a dessert and to be discovered with foie gras.”

Champagne Symphorine

“Champagne Symphorine 2002 Blanc de Blancs is a bright golden yellow wine with hints of white chocolate, roasting and cardamom. In the mouth a fine and delicate perlage supported by a beautiful acidity that gives a clean and fascinating finish.

Olivier Leflaive:

The Leflaive family has been rooted in Puligny Montrachet since 1717. In the 20th century, Joseph Leflaive, descendant of the founder, Claude Leflaive, constantly bought parcels of exceptional 1er Cru and Grand Cru vineyards mainly in the village of Puligny-Montrachet and was one of the forerunners of the bottling of the domain “Mis en bouteille au domaine”. Domaine Leflaive began exporting to the United States in the early 1930s. Olivier, Jo's son, was co-manager of Domaine Leflaive with his uncle Vincent and Anne-Claude, his cousin. Entrepreneur and creative, Olivier set up his own business in 1985, focusing exclusively on quality, sourcing grapes and managing vineyards, with a team led by Olivier Leflaive himself. With his team in place, Olivier Leflaive was able to source wines outside of Puligny-Montrachet. In 1995, Olivier Leflaive by mutual agreement with his family, leaves Domaine Leflaive to concentrate on the Maison Olivier Leflaive. Today the Maison Olivier Leflaive controls 50 acres of vineyards located mainly in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault and Pommard. The wines of Maison Olivier Leflaive are widely appreciated for their precision, elegance and finesse.
